Oxnard Police Department – Incident Press Release
On May 23, at 11:21 p.m., officers from the Special Enforcement Unit (gang unit) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle, 20 year old Oxnard resident, Jose Dimas. Dimas could not provide evidence of identification and was subsequently removed from the vehicle. Officers discovered a loaded handgun concealed in the vehicle. Dimas was arrested for several charges related to firearms possession.
