Narrative:
On Friday October 2nd, 2021, at approximately 12:00 AM, officers from the Port Hueneme Police Department responded to a call of a shooting victim in the 2600 block of Spinnaker Avenue. When they arrived, officers located a juvenile male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
While rendering aid to the victim, officers were able to find out the shooting occurred in the area of Halyard and Tiller Avenue. An unknown type of dark colored sedan approached the victim and shots were fired from the vehicle striking the victim as he was walking westbound on Halyard. The victim immediately fled through an alley and ran towards Spinnaker Avenue where he was able to locate a resident who was leaving for work. The resident assisted the victim by calling 9-1-1 for assistance.
