Felting Bowls (Ages 16+)

Felting is an ancient form of working with fiber to create fabrics, vessels, and decorative objects. On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., join teaching artist Andi Meyer inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center and learn to use wool, soap, hot water, and a little friction to create your own felt vessel! Learn resist techniques to shape wool into a firm structure full of color and texture.

This class is for everyone ages 16 and over. The cost of class is $45.00 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all supplies will be provided. Preregistration is required. Questions? Please call us at (805) 525-5554 ext. 104.

About Our Teaching Artist:

Andi Meyer has been creating art for over 25 years. Her work consists of primarily 3D artwork, such as spinning yarn, felting, crochet, knitting, and weaving. Mom to an eight-year-old artist (and several fur babies), Andi works as a special education teacher. Although she has received a BA in Art & Psychology and her MA in Education, her love for learning new techniques and skills has never faded away.
