Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The program begins at 7 p.m.

The town hall meeting is a free event. Residents are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m. for the neighborhood social hour to enjoy complimentary coffee and appetizers, meet their neighbors and learn about their neighborhood councils.

At 7 p.m. Mayor Tim Flynn will deliver his State of the City address to update the community on the City’s progress and plans for the future, including the status of neighborhood improvements, Measure O upgrades and recent developments regarding the downtown Oxnard revitalization plan.

Following the speech, City Manager Greg Nyhoff will join Mayor Flynn for a question-and-answer session with the public.

Free parking for the event is available on-site at Hobson Way and Seventh Street and also at the lot at Hobson Way and Ninth St. Americans With Disabilities Act-accessible parking is available at both locations.

The video will also be available Sept. 14 at www.oxnard.org.

The town hall meeting is hosted by the INCO, which encourages residents to form neighborhood councils to address issues that are important to community members. The INCO also assists neighborhood councils in communicating with the Oxnard City Council and staff, and helps neighborhood councils achieve their objectives. The INCO holds meetings the first Wednesday of each month, serving as a forum for neighborhood council participants.
