SANTA PAULA, CA – You’re invited to “Wine and Watercolors” at the Santa Paula Art Museum on Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm! The event will pair wine with local art and music for a creative, after-hours event catered to adults. Inside the Museum, guests will be able to grab beer and wine at the bar and join Santa Paula Cellars for a tasting of their reds while listening to the gorgeous sounds of ukulele-playing chanteuse Shay Moulder. Plus, play with watercolor painting techniques and have fun creating your own works of art as professional artist Timothy Kitz performs a live watercolor painting demonstration. Kitz’s finished painting will even be raffled off to one lucky guest! Tasty hors d’oeuvres will also be served and the Museum’s current exhibitions will be open. Tickets to the event are $20.00 per person. Tickets can be purchased online at www.santapaulaartmuseum.org/event/wineandwatercolors.

Need to arrange childcare for your night out? The Museum has that covered too! Children ages 4 and up can make their own art inside the Museum’s Cole Creativity Center while their parents are next-door. Museum educators will lead kids through fun, Halloween-themed craft activities until the whole family is ready to head home. Childcare will be provided free of charge to event guests (event admission must be paid before children are dropped off).

The Santa Paula Art Museum occupies two historic buildings located at 117 N 10th Street and 123 N 10th Street in downtown Santa Paula. The Museum features rotating exhibitions of vintage and contemporary art, creative classes for children and adults, family-friendly events, live musical performances, a gift shop, and more. Regular museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, and Sunday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Regular admission is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors, and free for students and museum members. Contact the Museum by calling (805) 525-5554, or by e-mailing [email protected].
