    Oxnard | Transient arrested for Liquor Store Burglary

    On April 15, 2020, at about 11:16 PM, officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress to a liquor store in the 300 block of S. C Street. The caller observed the suspect remotely on video. Responding officers detained suspect Andy Ortiz, age 32, as he was trying to hide under a vehicle at an auto dealership located next to the liquor store. Suspect Ortiz was identified from the video, which showed him entering the business on two separate occasions and removing property, which was found staged nearby for pick up. Ortiz was arrested for burglary and booked at Ventura County Jail.
