Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On March 11th at 3:27 PM the Ventura Police Command Center received a 911 call reference an injury traffic collision involving a work truck and a juvenile pedestrian at Seaward Ave. north of Alessandro Dr.. As officers arrived on the scene, they learned that the juvenile appeared to be on the sidewalk when the truck went up on the curb and struck the juvenile.
The driver of the truck remained at the location, and the juvenile was transported to a local hospital for medical attention. The condition of the juvenile is unknown at this time. The Ventura Traffic Unit will be conducting the investigating of this collision. The driver of the truck was evaluated on scene and was determined not to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. At this time, there is no further information.
