    Ventura | Stabbing in Montalvo Hill Park

    Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release

    On August 13th at 4:39 PM, the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call reporting a stabbing victim in the 2000 block of S. Victoria Ave. Officers, along with Ventura City Fire and AMR personnel responded to the call and found the victim, later identified as a 39-year-old adult male, suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound to his arm. He was treated at the scene and transported to VCMC for treatment of his injuries.

    The victim reported that approximately 20 minutes prior calling 911, he was at Montalvo Hill Park in the 1700 block of Tanager St., when we was confronted by two subjects. The victim said a verbal argument occurred between him and the subjects, when both started to physically attacking him. He said it was during that time one of the suspects stabbed him with a knife and then fled from the area on foot.

    Officers responded to the area and were not able to locate the suspects or a crime scene.

    This is an active investigation. Anyone with information or is a witness to this crime is asked to contact the Ventura Police Department at 339-4389.
