Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On July July 18th, 12:54 AM, officers responded to several reports of shots being fired in a vacant field near the intersection of Petit Avenue and Henderson Road.
As officers arrived in the area, they received additional information that the possible suspects were last seen going into a residence in the 500 block of Chesapeake Place. After a lengthy investigation, a search was conducted at the house and a handgun, with an obliterated serial number, was found. A 17 year old male was arrested for possessing the handgun. No one was injured during this incident.
