Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
April 18th at 5:54 AM Ventura Police Patrol officers responded to an alarm at the Ross Department store in the 4600 block of Telephone Rd. When officers arrived, they found the front door lock had been damaged and a jewelry case inside the business had been smashed. A K-9 officer arrived on scene to assist with a search of the building. No suspects were located inside the building.
Officers from the Patrol Task Force, which focuses on vagrant related activity, arrived in the area and located a subject, later identified as Vallery, to the rear of a nearby commercial building. Vallery was found to be in possession of stolen property from Ross and a controlled substance. Vallery was arrested for Commercial Burglary (Felony) and possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor). Street Crimes Unit detectives responded to assist with the investigation.
A review of the Ventura County Superior Court public records revealed Vallery has prior arrests over the last two years which include commercial burglary, possession of burglary tools, drug possession, and receiving stolen property. Vallery was also currently out of custody for a separate commercial burglary arrest from March 2020.
