Ventura County Sheriff Department – Incident Press Release
In the early morning hours of July 22, 2019, Sheriff’s deputies responded to The Premier Inns, 2434 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, for a call of possible domestic violence. Two guests staying at The Premier Inns were involved in an altercation, which was witnessed by an uninvolved party. During the altercation, Celebration Ferguson was heard yelling that she was going to kill the victim and seen battering the victim.
When deputies arrived on scene, they witnessed a physical altercation between the victim and Ferguson. Deputies were able to gain control of both parties and further the investigation through interviews and the identification and collection of evidence. The investigation revealed that Ferguson attempted to strangle the victim, while yelling she would kill the victim.
East County Major Crimes detectives responded to assist with the investigation. Based on the investigation, it was determined that Celebration Ferguson was in violation of 664/187(a) PC / Attempted Murder. Ferguson was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility, with bail set at $500,000. Her court appearance is set for 07/25/19 at 1:30 p.m.
