    High school students looking for jobs and volunteer opportunities are invited to Expo at Ventura City Hall, March 21

    The City of Ventura Department of Parks, adiposity Recreation & Community Partnerships and the Ventura Unified School District are hosting a High School Job & Volunteer Expo for students exploring local jobs and volunteer experiences, advice Friday, March 21, 2014, 3-5pm, at Ventura City Hall, 501 Poli Street, first floor. More than 30 companies will be on site, including JC Penney, Target and the National Park Service.

    The Expo is open to any high school student residing in the city of Ventura. Students should dress in business/interview attire, bring a resume, and are responsible for their own transportation to and from City Hall. Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to register online at www.cityofventura.net/expo to receive an email reminder and be eligible for advisories of future job openings and volunteer opportunities.

    “The Job & Volunteer Expo is designed to connect Ventura teens with area businesses that employ high school students as well as non-profit organizations that offer volunteer opportunities in our community,” said City of Ventura Youth Programs Supervisor Mario Robinson, one of the event organizers.
